Default Door Sill Protectors?

I bought some clear plastic door sill covers/protectors that are just ok. Water collects under them, and they sometimes get kicked off when exiting the car. Anyone know of any (perhaps metal) that cover the entire sill and wrap over the round trim? Being light oak the trim really takes a beating!

I also have the same sill covers. When I wash the car, I just take them out (like the floormats) and then clean the sill area. The thing I like about the clear ones is that they can be taken out for car shows or be left in if I'm on the road.

I have the same ones, and love 'em. However, a friend recently kicked the passenger side one up and almost closed the door with it not fully seated, which would have definitely f*#*%'ed up the trim on the door, so I'm glad he caught it before it happened. I'd be willing to bet you could get velcro with single sided tape on the other side to affix to the sill to make these things grab on the outside as they already do on the carpet inside. I've been considering doing this myself. - AD
