CLB question - how do you know if installed?
Bought a car from forum member here and he said the car was in the dlrship to have the CLB fixed.. however, I told him they probably just reflashed the ecu.. but he wasn't sure if that was all. So when I get the car how can I tell if the car had the clb or not? And also a good website i can get it from if it doesn't? Thanks!
One way is to take off gently from a stop sign/signal, watch your dash for the 1-4 light (yellowish) to appear. At that moment, try to shift to second. If you do, it IS installed. If you end up in 4th. It ISN'T installed.
I waited to install mine when I disassembled the dash/console to put in a Hurst shifter. Made it a bit easier with the console part of the dash out of the way.
To tell if you have the CLB, simply try to rotate your steering wheel with the engine off, key out of ignition. If the column locks, you don't have the bypass. If you can turn the wheel freely, the CLB is installed.

Thunder Racing and Corvettes of Houston are two of the trusted vendors...about $50...many how-to posts here...do a search...print one out that has pictures...and keep it with you as you are working...

So when car is off and key is out, pull up e brake and have her in 1st (as thats how i keep my car parked when off) and then turn my wheel either right or left and then back the opposite way.. if it doesn;t lock to where you CAN'T turn it then it is installed if not ill be ordering 1 asap Do i got it?

That's pretty much it. If you can move the wheel and not feel it lock, then you have the CLB installed.
