C5 Convertible noise
I did the frost king and the fiberglass in the wheel well. some reduction.
Questions. Is the B-quiet product worth doing?
Is a trunk partition worth the expense?
Some of the noise is through the rag top. is there Anything for that grief?
Any other suggestions.
Thanks

You did the frost king mod and still have noise? Reason I ask is I just did mine and it made a huge difference using the kit from Exotic Vette.
My road noise is so much lower now.

The various recommendations above are all helpful but the problem you are facing lies with the fact the noise you are now hearing comes from road noise being amplified inside of the tire then on through the wheel, suspension system, frame, and anything connected to it which eventually causes the resonation in the car itself.
All the methods above do a great job on eliminating exterior sounds created from the tire running over a surface but do nothing for the noise that occurs inside the tire then transmitted through the vehicle internally.
The only way you can reduce that interior noise resonation is to change tires.
The EMT sidewalls are noisy due to their construction. The EMTs on the C6's have been redesigned (100 mile range at zero pressure vice 200 mile range on '04's and older. Goodyear changed the sidewall construction and used a slightly softer compound for '05).
So, the new EMTs are definitely quieter and non-EMTs even quieter still.
