I have to thank Chris, Brian and Dan for the advice on lowering my car. I'm all the way lowered in the front... haven't cut the bushings. In the rear I cut one segment of the bushings and have two threads showing. I think I like this for now but might try to drop it as low as Dan's car (which looks so cool... best stance I've ever seen) someday:
is there a noticeable differance in regular driving, was tossin this mod around my head for awhile but seems damage you might get from being too low offsets the mod .

No damage here - and I'm 3 inches off the ground and I drive almost daily.

You know I have to tell you I have spent good money on wheel upgrades but chrome wagon wheels are still very appealing
Nice....nice, Chris!! Sorry I missed you Saturday night! You single guys are night owls....days gone bye for me to start a car project at 10pm!! In my younger days I would start in the morning and sometimes still be working until 2-3 the next morning but not by choice ....it was the only car I had!
Very nice Chris, I'm sure I'll be doing mine soon. I was thinking about asking Dan to pick me up some of the bolts he used for his rear. Cause you're right his vette sits awesome.

It seems to drive better to me. The only negative thing I've experienced is my rear suspension has bottomed out twice... but they say the Bilstein shocks will take care of that. It's not bad and doesn't happen very often but it's like rubber and metal meeting in the suspension somewhere. I haven't scraped on anything yet... that was my biggest concern.
which lowering kit? i want to lower mine this week
No kit.. I just cranked down the front all the way (all it takes is a 10mm wrench). I cut part of my rear bushings with a PVC cutter which is like a racheting knife blade. Made it very easy but to be honest don't cut the bushings. Go out and buy two 1.5",7" long, grade 8 bolts, and pick up some new nylon nuts too just to be safe (as quoted by Dan). Then you just replace the bolts and you can get it lower without cutting the bushings.
Just remember on the front to place a jack under the leaf spring as close to the A Arm as you can and jack it up a bit to releive the pressure from the bolt so it will turn easy. If you have a 10mm racheting open end wrench and the same in 13/16" size it will make your job a lot easier.
