Well look at it this way if your going to mod your car with THOSE mods your saving. The corsa exhaust with air intake is about 1200 more or less.. and the chrome z06 wheels are give or take 900.. so keep that in mind.. and that is a LOW mileage 2000. has many options HUD, ride control, both tops, and is a saught after 6 spd.. is 28k the lowest hell go? if the price came down lower it would be sold asap IMHO
I paid $28500 for my 2000 automatic coupe in may of 2004. It came with every available option (sport seats, glass top, HUD, Z51 suspension, 12 disc, etc). It had 25000 miles on it. The dealer also threw in 4 new tires upon purchase. IMHO you shouldnt pay over $27000 for that car. Especially with the new C6s out.
by the way, the exhaust mod, intake and wheels are not going to up the price of the car. they may decrease it in some cases.
too high. I paid 30K in December for a 2002 with 6500 miles. auto coupe with every option, both tops, corsa pace, blackwing, corvette lingerie bra, car cover and lots of billet accessories. Electron blue in immaculate one owner condition. good luck finding your dream.
If the car has been well taken care of, the color and options you like and were going to put these mods on anyway, I'd say it's not far off. I rather pay a little more money for a car in excellent shape and well maintained than less for one in a little rougher shape. You can always shoot him a lower price, all he can say is no. There are plenty of nice vettes out there if your not in a hurry.
I bought a 2k car last year with 22k miles and every option except auto, and disk changer and the car was/is cleaner than some new cars I've bought...I paid 25.5k.
I would keep checking around and also check auto trader. Sometimes you can find real gems if your patient.

Bought a 2K FRC last summer with all the bells a whistles, 40K miles with mods and 75K extended warr. for 25K. Was in very nice shape with all the service paperwork, V-1 radar detector and in the color I wanted, and I'm in the NW where it seems vettes cost a little more.
Dude forget all the professional car buyers/sellers here. Someone allways gets a better deal. The bottom line is that you are happy and shopped around. The market also varies by region of the country.
Again Bottom line is YOU ARE HAPPY
