NewBee Help Car -- Tag Install
I want to play with my new toy.
Thanks,
Bill
On each side of the black frame (inside of frame) you will see two openings. Insert a screw driver in the openings and gently push on the tab there to release them from the slot.
Use a flathead screwdriver, simply push it in, push the tabs gently pull the frame towards you. I'll do the top two first, and then the bottom two. Put a towel/rag, just in case the license frame falls and scratch the paint
Yea, and after you get the plastic surround off one finds that some states (like Louisiana) have a "nonstandard" embossed edge on their tags that must be flattened to allow the plastic piece you just removed to be installed.
Yeah, it comes off. Check your manual it tells you where to apply the pressure from a screwdriver blade. This setup is another poor design by the General
The black license plate surround has four tabs (two on each side) that can be pushed in with a small screwdriver. Once you get the screwdriver in there, just pull out on the surround and it will pop loose. Repeat with each tab until it comes off. To reinstall after you mount your plate, just line up the tabs with the holes and push in. It will snap in place.
I looked through the manual but must have missed it. I am in a hurry to get going.
THANKS Again!
