I never reset the average MPG, it stays between 20 and 22. I do reset the "trip A" at every fill up and calculate the mpg for my most recent tank, it's usually between 19 and 25 depending on how many longer trips I took. On marathon trips I've seen 35mpg average over a single tank. I also use "trip B" for oil changes.
I have found that a calculator shows about 1 MPG less that the DIC estimates.
I totally agree. I have done the calculations no less than 10 times and the DIC is right at 1 MPG high almost every time. Sometimes .8, sometimes 1.2 but the avg has to be about 1 MPG high.
