I am considering the specter works power dome supercharger hood and the specter works rear fascia. Has anyone had any experiences with these pieces, like fit and finish? Thanks guys
I've had my Power Dome hood for about 2 years now, love the look, BUT it didn't fit worth a damn when I first got it even though I was assured it would (it was the most expensive hood on the market at the time I bought it). We had to do a LOT of trimming especially around the curve of the headlamp housings to get it to fit. Also, it developed some wicked cracks after it was installed and one of the molded in nuts for the bolts holding the right hood brace on fell out necessitating cutting into the hood to put in a replacement (I filled the access hole with a large, solid, black rubber grommet so it's not noticeable.
Other than that, the hood is great!
Seriously, my hood was far from perfect, but if you want something you can just bolt on and forget, I'm not sure this is the one for you. I understand their non-popup headlights require a fair amount of engineering on the buyer's part also.
