Is this pretty much straight forward? Any tricks or points to keep in mind to make the job easier without destroying anything?
I assume the plastic trim pieces on top of the wheel wells ned to be removed; do they "snap" off/on?
Is the rear vertical piece (of carpet) permanently attached to the side/bottom piece.
I know a lot of you have done this and I am just trying to avoid any pitfalls
You'll need to remove the shoulder belt mounts. Can't remember but its a large torx, then the plastic trim piece behind it (it just pops off), then you'll need to pop off the small trim piece just below the rear window. Once that is off you can then remove the speaker panels. Everything just pops off with clips. Be carefull not to break one. I used a large flat blade screw driver.
You can see where I ran out of DyaMat and used Frost King. I went back in and added a layer of DynaMat over the FK. The FK is good for insulating HVAC ducting, but not very well in this environment.
Good luck and post some photos. Oh and be careful not to cover up the emergency trunk and fuel door releases (as I did). I had to go back in and fish them out. That was fun.
