Awesome car!!! Did you get it into the turns and do a seat time comparo to your Z06??? Great ride!

I am not trying to start an issue but the GT is a superior car in driving to my 2003 Z06. By how much I will leave that to others. Its substantially quicker, corners better, and gives you more confidence in driving. Yes it also has negatives such as the previosuly mentioned sight lines and some erogonmic issues such as two people are required to open and close the engine hatch unless you run around the car to do each side. Manual seats which makes adjustment difficult once you are strapped in with even the standard seat/shoulder belts. Also water gets into the engine bay when hand washed no matter how careful you are. The manual also suggests not driving it in heavy rain. I think they are concerned about rain dripping into the air intakes and potentially creating problems.
The rain is probably a non-issue for 99%+ of GT owners since they would never drive the car in the rain. But this car was purchased to drive and not be a poser or trailer queen.
Let me quickly add for the money it should be as performer. But we all know of cars that cost a lot and do not perform as one would expect. The GT does perform as expected.
Next month both the Z06 and GT are doing a driving event at Watkins Glen. That will provide me with even more real seat comparison of cornering speeds, straight-away speed, and lap times. Although its an instructional type event we utilize video and then can compare lines, times, etc. The GT will not be camera ready until it goes to Roush to have some engine related modifications and harnesses and camera mount added in mid-June. Adding the racing harnesses is more involved than I thought because no one makes a harness bar. Roush has added the belts for the Ford fleet of GT test mules.
