Default Colorado Trip Continued

We made it to Colorado with no problems. The Vette ran good with 28 to 29 MPG. It looks like the weather is going to be good so I can enjoy the winding mountain roads. But the State Troopers around here are bad to the bone. They are everywhere with their radar guns a blazing. I have been being good most of the time but it is hard when going down hill with a big SUV on your butt wanting to use you for the rabbit. I leave them in the turns but always wondering if the a radar gun is around the curve. Having fun anyway. Jimmy

Glad to hear you had no problems! Steamboat had fresh snow in the mountains down to about 8,000 feet. Here in town its been hailing, raining and occasional sun. Like they say...if you don't like the weather, wait a minute.

We are still in Pueblo and we will head to Avon tomorrow. Hopefully weather will still be good enough for me to get there with no snow. We went to a Mopar only car show today wearing Corvette shirts and a Corvette Racing Cap and needless to say we didn't have anybody talk to us. Jimmy

Thanks everybody. We made it to Avon with no problems. The Vette pulls up those passes with no problem. Had a few snow flakes falling but no ice on Vail Pass. Glad the bra was on because the sand on the road would have beat the nose up pretty bad. The weather is great right now. Jimmy

Glad you listened to the advice, Jimmy! Keep it cool while in Colorado. The State Patrol is one motivated force!
