Default your car

sounds sweet!the only thing that would make me hesitate is that nitrous!30 grand for a 50 thousand (01) mile car,in spite of all the mods,is a little much.my 01 has 19700 on it,and i'd sell it for 31ish,maybe 30,500.just to give you an idea.so,you can buy a way less mileage car for around the same money and do all that work yourself,or you buy that one where it's already done!i think you win either way!!!good luck.check for oil consumption,by the way.

That's looks like a nice car. 30K is kind of high for an 01' with nearly 50,000 miles on the clock. One of the hazards of modding a car is that you never really get your money's worth out of it during a sale. Sometimes on a car like the Corvette, you loose money because it's not original equipment. It might be worth talking the seller down a few $$$.

BTW, I noticed this is your very first post. Welcome to the Forum.

Personally, I look at most mods as being something that DE-values the car. How do you know if the heads/cam setup is what you want? How do you know if you're going to like that 3:90 rear? How do you know how much stress that nitrous system has put on the car? And from a personal standpoint, I'm not crazy about those lights.

As most of us have said for years, you mod a car because you want to not because you expect to get the money back for them. I'd rather buy a low-mileage stocker and mod it the way I wanted than a high-mileage modded car unless I personally knew the owner, how the mods were done and by who and how the car was driven.

I don't like the style of a Z06, but if you do, that's the way I'd go if the standard Corvette isn't enough.

It depends if you are looking for a modded car. It could save you money if you plan to do similar mods anyway. I would offer him less than 30K though. Good luck.
