For me, the top down and windows up on a car is one of the silliest sights on the highway. I suppose if you have a $200 haircut, you don't want to get it mussed.

I once worked with a guy who was such a purist that he said you shouldn't even rest your elbow on the top of the door when the window was down. Now THAT's strict.

MY 2 pennies, If it is warm enough to have the top off/down, then it is warm enough to have the windows down. And if the old lady don't like it, she knows where the door handle is, she better stay on my good side, so that I will consider slowing down, just before I put a foot in her A--!!!

Does it look funny for a C5 coupe to have the targa off but with the windows up??? Maybe. But I don't care, because I am pleasing the cool lady sitting in the seat next to me.

BTW, buy a copy of the August Corvette Enthusiatst magazine - due out in about 2 weeks. One of our own has 2 pages in that issue

same policy here. i want my woman's hair to look pretty..lord knows she takes all day to make it that way.

Targa top down, windows down, and Ventmasters in at slow speed or high temperature. There are many exceptions: heavy traffic and a beat-up vehicle with heavy exhause smoke bellowing out= windows up! Evening drive on the highway with the special lady going to wine and dine, windows up, till we get to the city, unless cool or windy.

70mph+ and oncoming vehicles, especially busses or trucks...

All you Hard A** Southern boys who think top down windows up is for wusses don't know jack. Come on up to the Northern climate and we'll see who can take the cold. I bought a Vert to run top down as much as I can. When the snow is falling I put the windows up and the heat on.
