NAKED Corvette!
Here are some pictures of a 04 that is being preped for a body kit. And a few black Corvetts in the background. The project car had a tan interior, it is now black(except for the seats).
He is a friend of blacksedan87 and mine. Blacksedan87 knows more of the details, and has more pictures. Hopefully he will chime in.

This is a conversion of a C5 to 62 C1. The body panels are all designed by present and former Boeing engineers on their CAD/CAM system. The body panels utilized are stronger than the C5 SMC panels. The conversion takes place in their shop up in Washington state, you bring them a "donor" car and they turn it into 62 with C5 interior and running gear.
Because the 62 is about 4" narrower than the C5 - the engineers designed the body panels to fit over the C5 frame, and the intent was to keep the proportions accurate.
When Keith (the owner) is finished, it will also have a Vette Essentials interior (parts already ordered). The car will be white with a black and silver VE interior and CRCoachworks is going to install a silver convertible top. Even though the 62 did not have contrasting painted coves, Keith is going to have the coves painted silver, too.
The engine compartment will be black and silver Kewl Smoothie parts. Keith is also planning to have Chip Foose custom design a set of wheels for this car.
When it's done -all I can say is WOW!

Remember this was a covertible, Chris. The removal of the body panels was all number 10 Torx on the top and along the door jamb. The back side was accessible through the taillights with a 10mm socket.
