You will not find a bike rack anywhere for your Vette. You are however in the south so you could put a trailer hitch on it and then get a bike rack to attach to that!
Believe it or not, last week while I was in North Carolina, some guy came up to me proud as all get out saying he put a hitch on his C4 so he could pull his jet ski.
That is definitely not for me.
A man decided that he was going to ride a 10-speed bike from Phoenix to Flagstaff. He got as far as Black Canyon City before the mountains became just too much and he could go no further. He stuck his thumb out, but after 3 hours, he hadn't gotten a single person to stop. Finally, a guy in a Corvette pulled over and offered him a ride. Of course, the bike wouldn't fit in the car. The corvette owner found a piece of rope lying by the highway and tied it to his bumper. He tied the other end to the bike and told the man that if he was going to fast, to honk the horn on his bike and he would slow down.
Everything went fine for the first 30 miles. Suddenly, another Corvette blew past them. Not to be outdone, the Corvette pulling the bike took off after the other. A short distance down the road, the Corvettes, both going well over 120 mph, blew through a speed trap.
The police officer noted the speed from his radar gun and radio to the other officer that he has two Corvettes headed his way at over 120 mph. HE then relayed, and you're not going to believe this, but there's a guy on a 10-speed bike honking to pass!

If you have a coupe,
a few months back there was a thread about a guy wanting to carry a small kayak or canoe now and then. Someone had a GREAT idea.....Find a scuffed or slightly damaged roof panel and permanently mount a rack to it. When you wanna carry the bike, simply change out roof panels! Check the C5 Parts For Sale ....They are out there!
If you have a FRC or Vert,
I agree 100% with yeloyelo and Adrian-S....A hitch receiver mount is the way to go!

Yeah, I remember that thread...but you must've not paid attention to the end of it. After the idea was bounced around, someone brought up the fact that you couldn't bolt a carrier to that spare roof because it had no metal underneath it. It was just lexan or fiberglass and would break under the strain of holding something against wind resistance. Bad idea.
Best idea is the trailer hitch mount bike carrier.
I have a bike rack for my 99 coupe using a receiver hitch and it works great. I have had my car up to 90 mph with the rack and one bike with no trouble. The rack holds 2 bikes. I bought the hitch mail order over the internet for $108 and free shipping from Hitch Web.com, (http://www.hitch-web.com/). I bought the Yakima Getaway 1 1/4 hitch rack from Agee's Bike Shop (http://www.ageebike.com/Opening.htm) which had prices much cheaper than any local bike shop. (I think it was about $120). When I put the bike in the rack, it does not touch my car at all. I wrapped a bungee cord on the bottom part of the rack which I loop over the pedal to prevent sway. I also use a velcro strap around the front wheel to prevent that from moving. It takes about one minute to put the Yakima rack on the hitch and about the same to put the bike on. There are a few other receiver mounts out there, but I am really pleased with the looks and performance of the Yakima. Yakima also makes a receiver rack for carrying skis.
I think the Getaway 1 1/4 I have which has a metal plate/clamp thing that has an integrated lock has been replaced with a longer cradle that provides even more stability, but has no intrinsic locking mechanism; you would have to use an optional cable lock that bolts to the rack. My Yakima rack also locks to the hitch using a locking hitch pin. The replacement rack I think is called the "Quarter ROC." The Yakima web site has all the info on it.
If it's a really nice bike, and you have a Coupe, take the wheels off and put it inside. I have a WeatherTech bedliner to protect the interior, and it even makes the car quieter.
