Window Regulator Front Channel Mounting Nut - When you loosen this nut, the threaded shaft can slide back in forth at least an inch in a slotted channel. If you move the rod to one end of the channel the window tips out. If you move the rod to the other end of the channel the window tips in. Nowhere in the instructions does it tell you how to position this rod before tightening the Window Regulator Front Channel Mounting Nut. The instructions only direct you to adjust the jack screw under the reflector for window tip in and tip out. Can anyone offer some guidance here?
When I adjusted the jackscrew (Counterclockwise for tilt in at the top) to the desire distance, I than held the front nut towards the right and tightened, seems to work the air leak is now gone.
Before I loosened it I marked it so that I could go back if needed. It's not far from where I started.
Thanks for your input. Moving the jackscrew all the way to one side does create a tighter seal, but I hope I am not putting any undo stress on the window assembly. I know turning the jackscrew adjusts window height, but when are you supposed to use the transverse adjustment in the slot?

only long term damage I could see is simply compressing your weatherstripping to the point where max tip in will no longer seal the door and you will be replacing the weatherstripping in order to reseal the doors/windows.
But if it works for now, I say go for it. (think I've seen kits for 150-250$)

btw, 10mm will get the bigger one
4.5mm if you need to turn the smaller
The last adjustment I did before going away to Yosemite helped some, but I still have wind noise above 75 sometimes. I will see if there is any way to tip the window in further.
Surprised no one knows what the transverse adjustment slot is used for.

if you set your HVAC to use recycled interior air instead of fresh outside air, it may seal it up nicely as you drive.. (yes, it does you no good while parked in the rain)
OK, I figured out the purpose of the transverse slot. I decided to adjust the tip-in/tip-out jack screw under the door reflector all the way clockwise and counterclockwise. What happens is the front window regulator jackscrew travels from one side of the transverse slot to the other. When your done adjusting the tip-in jackscrew you tighten the window regulator front channel mounting nut wherever it ends up.
Just got back from our trip to Yosemite. Looks like the last adjustment was good for 90+ mph before I start to get some wind noise. I think that's good enough for 90% of my driving.
