A little while ago there was a thread about how to set the doors to auto lock when the car reaches 10 mph. (I don't work in the best part of town and I always try to lock my doors before I leave, but I don't always remember.) After reading the thread, I decided that would be a good thing for me to have. I checked the "options" on my DIC and I don't see that as one of my choices. I looked in the manual and it looks like I should be able to do it. Any ideas why I don't see that option when I scroll?
Did you have Mork take a look at it
Sorry....couldn't resist. I can't remember exactly how but I did mine and the manual told me how. Try reading it again.
Good Luck and Be safe
it is in the OM, but i am not sure if all C5 come with this option in all years:
Auto Lock
Press the OPTIONS button until AUTO LOCK appears
on the display, then use the RESET button to page
through the following choices:
• AUTO LOCK ON
• AUTO LOCK OFF
If you choose AUTO LOCK ON, both doors will
automatically lock when the vehicle exceeds 10 mph
(16 km/h) in a manual transmission. In a vehicle with an
automatic transmission, both doors will automatically
lock when you move the shift lever out of PARK (P).
Choose AUTO LOCK OFF to turn this option off.
Choose AUTO UNLOCK BOTH, and both doors will
automatically unlock when you turn the vehicle off and
pull the key out of the ignition.
AUTO UNLOCK OFF turns off this option.
