Like many of us I'm having a fuel gauge thing happening every so often... I've read here on the forum about using Dextron to help alleviate the problem. Now, at about $7.00 I've got to wonder what Dextron has that the $2.49 NAPA brand doesn't have?... I was told the NAPA brand was packaged by the STP people... Dunno if it's true. I mean really... it's like a 3 for 1 trade-off when it comes to dollars spent! Any opinions on this?

I had the "hanging guage" problem and actually ran out of gas once and close a second time while on a freeway. The "Techron Fix" worked. It may not solve every problem and other additives may be as good; but it works. I now use Chevron Gas and add a bottle of Techron every half dozen fill ups. No more problems. I carry a couple of bottles of Techron additive when traveling because I may not find Chevron. Here in AZ, I have noticed that former Texaco stations - now Shell - list Techron Additive at the pump when filling. Discovered that when filling my Denali which has no fuel guage sensitivity. Gives another option when elsewhere around the metro area.
