I am a two week proud owner of a 2000 convertable. (Owned a C3 before) I am going to add a CD changer and was wondering if the OEM Pioneer changer features a "shuffle" mode to switch CD's randomly. Thanks for the help, Mark
Last week a local sound shop installed a CD changer in my 2000 coupe. I thought I was getting a DELCO unit but I'm not sure what it is. But it's a 12 disc changer and, YES, the shuffle shuffles randomly throughout all of the 12 discs, not through just the current disc that is playing. The other interesting thing is that he installed it in the passenger rearmost hatchback storage compartment, not the larger middle one. Since I have Lloyd mats including a hatchback cargo mat, it's a lot easier to flip up the corner of the mat and open the rear compartment to change disc magazines.
If your going to play burned CD's or that type of thing you may want to go with a better than stock CD changer. I have a 98 and it is VERY picky with burned CD's. There are many Great brands of CD changers out there!!

Just a thought. I went through the CD changer thing and no matter what I did I always had the wrong CD in the car. What I ended up doing was to get a Creative lab’s Nomad MP3 player and a Belkin FM transmitter for the Nomad. I now have 3,000 songs that play in any order through the radio. Just my .02 let me know if you want details.

the above is a very good idea...i have moved to an Ipod, cant get any better than downloading music to the Ipod and not having to carry all these cds. less cumbersome, more music,no scratched cds, better quality sound! Vettes deserve state of the art aftermarket devices, nuff said
