Ive always had to use 93 octane to keep the pinging down but lately,if it shifts into third and the convertor locks up at a slower speed and i hit the gas a little,It is horrible.And right before shifts it starts so i let off.What is the problem?I have b&b headers,magnaflow x pipe,bullets and a twin k&n intake.I just took the predator tune off a week ago and it seems to be worse!!!!!Any suggestions??
If I were you, I'd get a professional tune. My car started pinging a bit after my blackwing install. When I had my Kooks installed, my tuner did an initial base dyno and she was pinging like crazy. She only came in at 193 rwhp! After the tune, she went up to 322 rwhp and never pinged again. Her A/F ratio was all over the place on the initial run. Even though you did the predator tune, something must be off. Either that, or you maybe you have too much carbon buildup, maybe you've been running too rich.
