2 Misc. C5 Questions

Also, I have hit the curb while turning out of a parking lot with the rear wheel in so many cars I can not count. Have never noticed any damage. Just cut a bit too sharp and the rear tire grabs the curb. Any different with a C5? As far as I can tell, just scuffed the tire a bit.
Thanks

Because of the stiffer sidewalls (less flex), the stock GY tires are much more likely to try and climb over the curb than to bounce off it like conventional tires. Be careful because, with these cars being so low to the ground, you might impact the quarter or rocker panels. SMC and curbs do not like each other! Also, because of the flush profile of the tire and the wheel, if you curb rash a tire, you'll likely damage the wheel as well. And, heck yes, I did this in the Vette coupe I used to own.
Just my $.02 worth.

I had to replace several wheels on my '94 because I was not paying attention and a curb jumped out in my way.
The C5 would suffer the same fate if it happened again.

I got out of the Chantilly, VA Starbucks this morning (which is nothing less than a labrynth of cement lumps laid down with no thought) with what appears to be only some flecks of cement on the tire. This town is so rediculous with parking lot design. You have to pull off the main road and navigate through a maze of poorly designed, unsignalled inroads to finally get a spot. How many generations of people will have to live through Northern Virginia growth to learn we need roadside shopping, not a Walmart/Target for every stupid thing
Back on topic : It amazes me that I can run over something with only the rear tire and still nothing scrapes the body wall. Must just barely grab the curb. Would love to analyze the video.
What is SMC?
And how do I retrieve error codes?
Thanks again
