Picked up a 2004 Z06 Z16, number 54, today. Only 2500 miles and beautiful. Glad I decided to go with the Z06, runs great, rides great and sounds great.

Damn that's sweet. I recommend two must have mod, they are cheap and will add to your enjoyment of the car. First install a CAGS by-pass, this will allow you to control the transmission and not some computer. Next buy and install a CL By-pass. This will prevent you from meeting Coy of Bubba's Wrecker Service when your steering column fail's to unlock.

After that your on your own.

And welcome to Corvette Forum and the Z06.

Cheers

Tom

Thanks for the tips, I've read a lot of horror stories on the Column Lock and am definately doing that one, and the CAGS bypass is to inexpensive not to do, however, I've avoided the problem by making sure 1-2 shifts are above the minimums, the joys of living in the sticks.
