Installed a 5oz can of a Tune Up product to A/C system on the low pressure valve. Recapped valve closed hood and went to the drivers side to turn engine off and wipers are on. Switch is off but wipers are on steady at the low speed and do not turn off. Turned engine off and restarted engine and wipers are on with the wiper switch off. WHAT IS THIS ????
PLEASE Help with a solution if anyone has one
Thanks in advance
Could this be related to the Dealership fix on the recall of the Column Lock. It was completed several months ago but maybe???
It has become a real pain because it comes and goes. Went outside and magically the wipers stopped...Great news only i travel 15-20 minutes from home and they started again and would now stop on a sunny day plus if the rubber ripped on wiper i would have metal on glass. I have to resolve. Switch runs 80.00 wiper motor 120.00 this is a expensive pain in the -ss. Can't drive till resolved or it s raining.

the Wiper brain is on the drivers side of teh car, in an area which accumulates water. Often when it starts acting up it is due to this. You can reach between the back of your washer fluid reserve and "milk" the utters to clean them out and drain the water. But at this point there's a chance you may be replacing your wiper motor.

I had removed the rubber utters last weekend and removed all the debris that were in both on the drivers side, but there were no problems at that point. Had little rain and what would signal the wipers to operate suddenly only after I completed a charge in the A/C system, closed hood, and got to drivers side and wipers on.

Ok then in that case, i'm not too sure, it could still be the brain, i know when mine began acting as if it had a mind of its own it was due to the motor/brain not working properly requiring replacement.
If you can remove the cowl cover, the wiper module is on the driver side under the linkage. Try hitting it w/ a wooden handle and see if it stops. If it doesn't, your wiper switch might be the culprit.I've replaced many wiper modules on Jimmys and Blazers for wiper moving on there own. GM had a recall on those trucks
Hopefully this diagram will help you locate your wiper module
