raised the head light door today manually now the motor keeps running after it closes for a little while maybe 2 or 3 seconds what should i do ?????????

Think seriously about getting a replacement (preferrably bronze) drive gear installed in that puppy. Might as well do both because if one is acting up now, it's a cinch the other won't be too far behind. Eckler's has them or you can buy direct from Rodney Dickman. HTH

The motor running as I recall is one of the symptoms of a gear about to go.

"That fast"? Are the headlight motors the original ones? Your car's 5 years old and depending on the environment it lives in and number of headlight door cycles, it may have very well been on the edge of going out anyway. Probably coincidence.
I would ignore it. I think it will correct itself once it has excercised itself back to where it is supposed to be. I don't understand why it does this, but that's what happened to me.
