have a mint condition 2000 mag red II painted top ( car has 5400 miles ) that I don't use because I have the glass top on, what is it worth or should I just keep it ?
They sell for about $1,200 from the dealer. I bought one last year off a guy on ebay, paid $500, knowing I'd have to have it painted to match my car. He said it had 2 minor cracks and that he had an estimate for about $100 to fix them and repaint the top.
I got the top, took it to a body shop I trust, they charged $600 to repair it and paint it!!!
So, the top cost me close to the $1,200. I'd say anything under $700 will sell quickly.
Keep both- I like my clear top during cooler months and I have my color on now.( I think the car looks better with color anyway) Fla sunshine don't play come summertime!!

You could keep it for a back-up in case you join the Flying Top Club.
I was wondering the same thing. I have a silver top. I don't think it's ever been on the car.
Man i love the painted top, alot more than the clear.Car looks ALOT better to me ,and i have a black car so it dont show as much. Also there seems to be less noise in the car with the painted top on. i have the top off mostly now ,but when i put on a top its the painted one for me.One other thing when you sell it its a nice point to have both since it came that way. KEEP IT!
they do cost $1200 new . . . . I bought one in absolute mint condx for $250 (the guy was honest and knew after he quoted me he could have gotten $400+ but kept his promise). I then had it painted professionaly (perfect match) for $500. Total = $750.
A buddy paid $350 a year ago for one with some scratches. Had it repainted for $500.
