Lots of people here on the forum have them... there are about 1200 active C5 members here on this forum...This is out of the 1/4 million C5's out there.... Ive had my MCM hood for two years and have yet to see another one "On the Street" where I live..... The MCM hood is perfect out of the Box.... form ,fit and function is excellent... there is no extra prep work... it's sand, seal, primer and paint.... removal of my old hood, and install of the new hood took less then 30 minutes total....
it's lightweight, carbon fiber, and heat extracting. Some hoods require as much as 16 hours prep work before painting.
Good Luck with your choice.

Motor City Mold only produces so many hoods per year and the number is relatively small. I've had my MCM hood for 2 1/2 years and just this month ran into another C5 owner that had it on his car in this area. Yes they are out there, but they seem to be widely spaced apart in terms of location so chances of running into another one is still slim.
I agree with Evil Twin - the fit and finish are just perfect. And customer service is great (Mike will go out of your way to make sure you are pleased with the product). I would highly recommend going with the MCM hood.
I've only had my specter werkes for a year now, and the fit and finish were great. I know a couple of people have said it took a little work to get theirs to fit, but it seems like they got theirs a year or so before I got mine.
Good luck with your choice! Don't think you will be disappointed with either one.
Click on my corvette photos for a shot of the carbonfiber Tigershark hood. I haven't seen too many people with this hood. I waited almost a year for it.
