I like my 99 Wagon Wheels, from what I understand they are the strongest Rims for the C5 available (not that it matters much) and they are also good for the track apparently. They look good on certain colours of vettes too. They look good on my Arctic White coupe IMO.
My car had them on already but most places like Mid-America magazine will take the regular one for a core charge and ship you chrome wagon wheels. They didn't come from the factory that way but THEY SHOULD HAVE!!!
where are you guys getting chrome wagons? Are they oem or are you getting them chromed your self?
Wagon wheels came stock only as painted wheels. The only way to get chrome W/W is to have them chromed as an after-market mod. Many places will do a chrome W/W swap with you and give you back a core charge on your old painted W/W.
As you can see from the pictures, chrome W/W look a lot different than the stock painted ones.
PS - the issue of the stock painted W/W is a hot issue on this (and any other Vette) forum. Many differing opinions: many hate them, many love them. The most important opinion on this issue is your own!
Someone out there has some white powder coated... MAN THOSE LOOK GOOD! as I said on his post I believe... I don't normally like white Vettes, but with those white WW's, it brought it all together...
WHO ARE YOU AND LETS SEE SOME PICS OF THOSE White WW's!!
Recently sold two sets of painted wagon wheels. Not much market for a complete regular set. I sold a member the four 18" for $250. Sold a pair of 17" ones (perfect) for $100 and a pair (not so perfect) for $75, plus shipping. I think it's easier to sell them this way.
I sold my painted WW on ebay for $125 plus shipping. I bought a set of chrome WW off the forum for $400 in perfect condition. Lots of bling and only Vette people know the difference.
