first perfomance mod
Well, I installed my first performance mod tonight, Halltech Stinger. What a difference! Noticable increase in accelleration and better exhaust sound. Two questions, how much HP does a Stinger generate on an other wise stock 2000 engine? And, why did GM design such a restictive airbox??

Thats the first mod I did to my recent '97 A4 purchase as well. Halltech Stinger intake. I feel like I notice a difference too.
After a couple weeks you forget what it used to be like and start wondering how acceleration might feel after getting the exhaust upgrade.
I have a feeling this will be a never ending cycle.
Mod on!

Now you've done it. Crossed the threshhold into modding the car. I feel sorry for your bank account.
Good choice in the Stinger - May not be a whole lot of HP gains, but there are a few.

That's the voice of experience there! I know, 'cause it's the same voice the rest of us heard!
But while you're at it, you can get the "Perfomance Hood Seal" ... that's worth at least 3-5 hp.
