Does anyone know if the Sensor Valve stem takes a normal valve or a special one? Thought I read a thread where there were a couple different ones that are used or could be used.
Loosing about 3 pounds of air over 2 days and no punctures.
A little liquid soap at the end of the stem bubbles slightly so pretty sure it's the valve.
The value stem is an integral part of the tire pressure sensor -- they are one unit. I think it's pretty standard except that it's fused to the sensor.
If you're talking about the "plunger" that fits inside the value stem, I think that is pretty standard; it just screws in and out.

Yup, that's what I mean.
I certainly appreciate it.
I think it's time for a replacement on the "plunger"
Thanks ArmyVette.
Just thought of something else. Those little plungers can work loose. There's a very cheap tool that is used to remove and install them. Just tighten it up first and try to soap test. If it still leaks, then replace the plunger.
