OKay well my front bumber is almost done! THats a relife after 2 weeks and a half of having the vette in the shop, but let me fill you in on why i am so mad right now.
I bough the tiger shark kit thinking that it was not going to be a big problem to put it on because most aftermarket parts i buy always fit well or well enough. My body shop had to get so creative with the darn bumber they had to shave part of the front fenders so it can fit on the right way. Well anyhow today it was finallllly put on to my car, but it gave them such a pain to put that thing in that they got upset with me and told me they would never do another corvette job for me again. This is after telling me constantly day after day that the next day it would be done because of a problem they had encountered. I couldn't believe it. So thats the story im finally hopefully praying im going to get it tommorow. This is probally happening because they have one guy working on the car... one guy. I don't know why.
So this is the ultimate question... did anyone else with the tiger shark bumber have this much trouble at their shop? Its a 800 dollar peice for goodness sake.
Oh and the last question for the sharks.... if you have the front spolier.... how do you get it off if you do whatso ever. Because its really low to the ground and I would like to remove it at times that i need more ground clearence.
First of all about the install. No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is'n a pain to put on at all. It took me and two of my friends about 30 minutes to remove the stock one and about 30-45 minutes to place the Tigershark on.
Since I've had mines, I know of at least 4 others who has purchased the Tigershark front fascia and no problem with install whatsoever. Two of my friends also installed there own and the others took them to the local body shop simply because they have special paint jobs on their cars.
I think the person that is working on your car is new (like you said) and just does not know his way around corvettes. Or they have several projects around the shop and that's why you kept getting the run around about delivery being day after day.
And about ground clearence for the front spoiler. I can't answer the removal aspect of that. That's why I did'nt order it because of ground clearence. I'm sure if you jack the front of the car up you can see how it's attatched and how to remove it.
As far as I know the body shop didnt have any problems. Factory mounting points is what makes it easier. Just blow it off and know you will be getting your car back soon. People will complain but you pay them to do a job.
I also didnt get the front spoiler, not cause of height cause I didnt like how it looked.

Of all the people who have put on the Tigershark front fascia, I don't remember hearing about any install problems. From what I understand, the fascia should fit very well. Maybe the shop just was not familiar with how it goes on. Hope they didn't mess up your front end by "shaving" the fenders. Best of luck when you pick it up.
Put mine on myself with no help. Took about 2 hours for me to swap out the front facias. If they didn't follow the the instructions there could be fitment issues, especially if they didn't remove the headlight opening stiffners from your old fascia and install them on the TS fascia. I know mine was a direct fit up without any issues.
No offense....I would find another body shop. The TS bumper is the best aftermarket nose I have ever seen and I have seen a few. Nothing extra was needed on mine. Bolted right on and my body guy loved it.

No problem here too. They said it was the best fitting peice they ever did. The front spoiler can be unbolted, but you'll have the holes on the bottom of course. I say find another shop too.
well thanx guys for the respones, i got my car back 2 days ago and have been enjoying the new look! I love how it looks, i guess the body shop has not be expirecned enough and the C5, but anyhow they did a great job in the end. Ill post pics up real soon!
