What I mean is, when I'm out cruising alone, pretty much use the 10 over rule, nothing too crazy. However when I'm with a bunch of other vettes, the rules go out the window. Could it be safety in numbers, or do you think that someone else will get picked off. What do you think?

That's because if I'm with you guys, you know the state troopers will pull me over and leave the rest of the pack alone!
unless its all corvettes, i never join the pack. I let the speeding pack get several hundred feet ahead and use them as a blocker. I never let their tail lights out of my sight. I see red, I get down to the speed limit.
A little while back I recall of a news paper article where a Corvette club in Colorado, got pulled over as a pack all doing over 90 mph, yup and they all got a ticket ....
I usually do the 10 over thing and have the detector on. But I have found that in a Caravan we are much slower. Especially if there are C2's and C3's. They suck a lot of gas and are stopping all the time. One guy we were with even had a case of oil and a jerry can of gas in the back. So in those cases we usually run in two or three different packs. It's all good when we do that too. The Caravan to the 50th Anniversary was unbelievable. You couldn't stop anywhere without at least 10 to 30 Vettes there ahead of you. With on lookers staring in amazement at how many Vettes were not only there but passing by at the same time. Caravans are awesome.
If it is one Officer, the only way everyone in the pack is going to get a ticket is if everyone stops. That is a big no no. The officer has to pick out one, there is no way he can get all. I know this from days of Illegal Street Racing, once the other car pulls over, keep going. He has to choose at that point to stick with that car, or pursue you. It is not considered evading because he didn't pull you over.
