Call Fichtner Chevrolet. I think the kit costs something like $130, and includes a replacement seat belt. The seat belt needs to be changed b/c in cars with airbags, the belt is designed to let go after a certain force limit is reached.

I did this on my 98 coupe. It is not a big deal to install, you just need to take your time. I purchased the kit from Fitchner (best advice and price) - the kit comes with the key switch (for the glove box) and a new passenger seatbelt. If you want to make it "factory" order the bezel as well (that is the plastic piece with the light and wording installed in the center console.

Thanks. I'll look into it. Kindof sucks when you bring home a vette and you can't even take your kids for a ride. I'm so new to this forum that I don't know how to post a pic in my signature yet.

GM sells a kit that will allow you to do this. Speak with Bob at Fichtner Chevy - he can set you up with the parts.

You might have the driver side plug for the passanger side airbag. If you need any help, let me know. I had the plug on the driver's side. The direction from GM and that site listed above are for the right side plug.
