Default White Face Gauges

I ordered a set of white face gauges from Ecklers and received them this week and noticed they require double sided tape to install rather than having to take off the needles to install. Has anyone installed this type of white face gagues? If so, how do they compare to the one where you have to remove the needles to install. Can you see the double sided tape at night? Thanks for your help.

you're better off not removing the gauge needles.

I had indiglo gauges a few years ago, got bored with them in about 2 months, I installed the brushed aluminum gauge bezels when I did the HUD install and I'm still happy with them!

the white face and indiglo gauges are similar, very easy to install.
the only difference is the indiglo gauge faces were MUCH cheaper than the regular white face gauges, plus you had a choice of colors to choose from at night.

I ordered a set and after taking a careful look, decided not to install. I went with bezels instead.......something about using double sided tape that bothered me. I would hate to have to take the cluster out after the fact, if the tape gave out for whatever reason.....

No you won't see the double sided tape at night or any other time. You don't have to remove the needles, just make sure they are lined up straight because you don't want to have to take it all apart a second time.

That's cool cause I got mine from Ecklers also and they're being installed this week. I didn't know they were 2 sided tape. Glad to hear it won't be a problem.
