What are the widest tires i can run for front and for rear without worrying about rubbing or needing a mini tub? Ex: given an appropriately sized wheel, can I run 305, 315, 335. I know 295's will fit in the rear but how much wider can I go?

at the moment stock 5 spoke y2k wheels but I am looking at various aftermarket wheels. I am curious as to what size is the max possible; i can buy wheels to match.
i belive some are running the 18x12 zo6's with a 335 rubber without tubbing but if your going that wide without tubbing you have to worry bout the tire sticking of of the fenders....

Same question. I heard that a 335-30-18 rear wheel is possible, but the brake ducts pose the only real problem.
I also don't want to foul my geometry, or end up with a straight line (only)driver. Surely you track guys have my answer. I'll buy the brew for good advice!
I want trackability, and stickyness to handle my new (517)ponies, but won't tolerate ANY rubbing, nor tubbing.
Please help!!!

Saw a ZO6 last night with this combo and no rubbing.

I have 335 30 18 on the rear with 11.5" Z06 rims with no problem. Not many tire choices though. The tire does roll over the edge of the rim a little but looks good. Found a good deal on 295 35 18 comp ta and will try them next.
Ha, what’s 13 years, feels like yesterday! Thanks, and no I did not pay attention to the post date. Heck my Z06 is 15 years old, doesn’t feel like I have had it that long, and only 30k on the odometer, just figured it was time for new shoes. Least I’m not the only one surfin old posts,,,lol
If you'd not have searched and just posted the question they'd have beat you up for that. lol I think a 315 is as wide as you'll get without much poke, but other don't seem to mind if the tire hangs out like it's the 70s. Guess it depends what you're into.
I'm running 305/30-19's on 19x11 rears, no rubbing but I wouldn't go wider. Sticks out slightly. I'm running 265/30-19's in front on 19x9.5. Could have used a wider tire, maybe a 275, but I like the sidewall height combination visually.

Thanks Striper, not to be a nuisance, do you know the offset as well?
305 on the rear fits with stock z06 rims. no poke. 315 will also fit, but sticks out a bit. no rubbing though. I've had both on my z06 with the stock rims.
