Anyone know a wax that has bug repellent in it too? Or is slippery enough that bugs won't land on the paint?
I would've won People's Choice trophy (err, Bug's Choice trophy) at Corvette show Sunday of all the bugs that landed on my ME vette would've voted! Obviously they liked my car better than all the rest.
Oh, MikeN keep a California Duster in your car. It's about the best you can do!

All sealants and waxes can attract the same amount of dust depending on the atmosphere in which you live , but a carnuba based product may "hold" onto the dust a little longer. As said above, a nice duster will have it gone in a jiffy. Here is a link for one that I feel is the best, although we also carry the California Duster which is a favorite.
The kozak dry wash cloths are great for dusting your car off. Get one for the driver and one for when it's already clean. Eckler's and Midamerica have them.
I just tried this product- http://www.corrosionx.com/rejex.html
Haven't taken it out of the garage yet, so I can't vouch for it yet. I can say that it is very slippery and easy to use. Hopefully it will make cleaning the wheels easier.
I've used Zaino, it is pricey, I don't think it lasts as long as they say, and it takes hours.
Good luck
Of the hundreds of products I have used over the years, Zaino causes the least amount of static charge, and the least amount 0f dust.BTW I find Zaino works great on my CCW wheels, it protects them completely from water marks....
This picture is a few months old, the car is six years old and has 56,000 miles on it.
Damn grasscutters cut grass dirt and everything else near where I work. Have a Pewter Coupe (McGuires and our CEO has a black Vert Zaino) and both were dusty as heck today.
He uses the California detailing spray and it seems to do pretty good in getting off the dust when sprayed lightly on a Ca Duster.
I was using Zaino and would always find that after I freshly waxed it, the dust would stick to it more until I washed it.
I now get my car done by a local detail shop, since I was so impressed with his work after I let him wax it during the winter. (it was too cold to do it myself) He uses Meguiar's #26, along with a good buffer, and it makes my black paint come out as good as new!
I noticed after getting it done again this weekend, that not very much dust is sticking to it. I normally need to use my California car duster 2 or 3 times per day since it used to build up so much, but since getting it waxed there hasn't been nearly as much dust buildup on it, so I can get away with using the duster only once per day now. I'm not sure how long this coat of wax will continue to do that though, since the last time I got it done there was a lot of salt on the road still, so it ate through the wax much quicker than it will now.
His results with the Meguiar's and the buffer are so good that I decided to spend the extra money from now on and get him to do it instead of me doing it myself. He only charges $59 Canadian (which is under $50US)
