I am looking at buying a 2003 Anniversary Edition Vert. Car has 7000 miles on it and is loaded. It is at a dealer in California. It will be my first Corvette. Any ideas on what a reasonable price would be?

I'm pretty sure one third of 2003 production had the anniversary package so they are not that rare/special.

Fair condition $36000
Excellent condition $45175
Good condition $40000
What's the dealers asking price?
For a vert 40+k, I would guess more because it is in CA, a 6 speed would also be a bit more, otherwise they came loaded with most options including the magnetic suspension.

I think the variance is going to be that shes in Calif. Let us know if you get her.

Kelley Blue book, what CA dealers use has Private Party at about 44.8K, that is with the handling package, cd changer and premium wheels, and 48K retail. Dealer probably paid aound 41-42K for the car. At 49K he has some room to move somewhere between Private Party and Retail prices, good place to compare is ar Carmax.com, they are nationwide with about 40-50 vettes for comparison, they've had some 03 anniv. ed. in stock recently. I think they had a coupe for about 41K three week ago.

I think RMOORB is on the button here. I live in So. Calif. and did a lot of searching for my A.E. vert auto fully loaded, at the begining of the year. With the research I did, I felt the the one I purchased for $43K was a good deal. Not a great deal, because I know that I could keep looking and do better. But I felt that for an A.E. vert with just under 10K miles, in showroom condition, no mods, no 12 disc cd changer, $43 was about what they were going for around So. Cal.
Best of luck in your purchase! You'll love the A.E.
