ok, how do i get the melted gum off my paint ? i tried to get it off as soon as i saw it but it just smears all over..i spent all morning cleaning the car. 
.i drove to the post office and came back to find gum on the trunk, rear tire and right fender area..

For future reference, ice does work good, as was suggested, and for any residue, just use vegetable cooking oil, canola, mazola, corn oil, etc, does not matter.... its much less agressive to paint and wax than solvents, WD, or alcohol. ALso works great if your kids get gum in their hair!
