Well just wanted to share a quick lil story with you guys.
My buddy who wants a "toy" has always bad mouth'd corvettes dont know why really, just never a fan I guess ?
So hes been talkn about getting a mustang for awhile now leaning towards an 05. Well today I had him over n said just drive my vette to compare the 2. So he reluctantly did & guess what ??
After about 5 minutes he was sold & asked where I got mine.
So gave him a few websites & some dealers to check out n off he went.
Hoping he doesnt get a mustang , dont get me wrong I do like them
But if you have an option between the 2 cars, is there really an option ?? haha
Anyway just thought it was amusing to hear a guy who bashed vettes for sooooo long turn to the dark-side soooo quick...
yeah.. i hated vettes forever myself... well, more the vette guys than the vettes. You know... the leather jacket with the flags on the back, can name any wax or polish but cant change a sparkplug kinda guy
But i love my c5 and they are so cheap now that im sure you will see alot more people converting

Hum, do I need to buy a leather jacket with logos?
Why does everyone hate Mustang's? The new 05 GT is amazing. Just wait till the Cobra comes out.
I love Mustangs. Always have and always will. I've owned many thrugh the years. When my kids were younger, I needed a four seater. A '97 Cobra fit the bill perfectly. It was the ultimate grocery getter/ kid hauler/ commuter car. On the weekends it ran high 12's with a gear change and a few bolt ons. After the kids were driving their own cars, I decided to build a very quick street car on the cheap. An '89 Fox body fit the bill. I then got back into 'Vettes because I drove an LT4 and fell in love with it. Then I decided to get a C5 and I'm really starting to enjoy this car, especially on trips.
Both cars have their niche and I like both. I absolutely love the looks of the new GT and can't wait to see the Cobra. However, there will never be complete peace between the two camps. Brand loyalty is very strong even today. Most older car guys will tell you that brand loyalty was much stronger " back in the day ". Bench racing at the local garage hang-out was a whole lot more than swapping stories and telling lies. Hell, it was easier to get into it with some guy by dissing his MOPAR than his girlfriend! These days it's more like a friendly competition and that's cool. I think most people see the merits of each car, and most of the talk is just that...talk. Besides, the ricers have taken most of the steam out of the battle of the brands. I guess common enemies do that
The other alternative is to have both....my DD is a 96GT By no means do I consider it a performance car but with 156k miles and still purrs like a kitten, it's getting the job done and taking the hits in the parking lots for the Vette
Well least the 2 camps do agree on "one" thing...
Need for speeeeeeeeeeeed just too bad vettes are faster.....
If we're talking stock...no arguement. The 'Vette is the better performer. When you talk mods though, well, let's just say that's a different arguement. My little '89 LX frustrated a lot of 'Vette owners at the track It didn't handle well, but that's not what I built it for.
At the track yesterday a Cobra driver came over to me in pit row & said I passed him so quickly on the straightaway that he thought he forgotten to hit the accelerator.
