"has anyone ever replaced their dash?". I'm putting a HUD in my 2000 coupe and am considering buying a dash with the HUD cutout (factory).
I just don't know what a good price is.
I just installed a HUD in my 2000. Your dash can easily be cutout to accomdate the projector, then all you'll need is the dash bezel, which is fairly inexpensive. If you still want to go the new dash route, post a WTB on the C5 Parts for Sale forum or contact Gene at Gene's Kar Shop, supporting vendor and excellent to work with. I've seen prices from $150.00 and up.

Thanks for the info! I'm probably buying the stuff from Fred Beans. Do you know if the HUD or the Switch come with the 11 pin harness?? I'm trying to get my hands on one.
The only thing I did differently was to cut the legs of the trim bezel shorter and use screws and washers instead of the glue.
The 11 pin harness remains a problem...unless Josh still makes and sells them.
...and I used a dremmell tool for cutting the dash and the "L" attatchment for drilling the hole for the projector.
...and while you're at it, might as well paint the gauge bezels in the cluster.
Save your money and cut your dash, it isnt as intimidating as you think, and also you will prabably do a better job than factory. I have noticed a lot of factory HUD's are cut too far and the bezel does not hide it all. Just like PaceThis said, use a rotory tool.
