Oh, for Pete's sake! "Whilst" (sorry, that threw one of you off dead center) I'm at it let me explain why I rented a Mustang...because I wanted to! How's that? When I went to the Trans Am Nationals last year with my son (who owns a Trans Am), I rented a Mustang because I didn't want to rent a Buick LeSabre or some other such vehicle. The 04 Mustang sucked...plain and simple. Well, I happen to like the looks of the 05 Mustang, so I thought it would be good to compare last year's model and this year's model. Also, I did not want to rent some family sedan. Would I rather have a Mustang than a Corvette? NO!! But, that's not the issue! So, maybe I should be taken out and shot for driving the Mustang. I felt out of place on Hilton Head Island with the Mustang. That is the land of BMW's and Mercedes. Whatever!!! By the way, Hertz didn't have any Corvettes to rent!
Why would a Corvette owner rent a Mustang? That reeeally bothers me.
It could have been worse, I rented a Toyota Corolla for a trip where I needed 4 seats...... Forgive me.. Oh, and I ran into a guy with a wicked C5 with the MTI Z07 package, I talked to him for a bit at the gas station and felt like I was trying to convince him that I had one myself. He was surprised I new what the Z07 package was so maybe he believed me
