how low should ya go?!?!?!

Default how low should ya go?!?!?!

i am very interested in lowering my car or as some say "slam" my Z i really dont know how low i should go or the best way to do so. i would like to know how low some of you went and if there were any clearance(which im sure there is) issues. pix would be appreciated as well as the know how

depends where you live and how you drive.. i say about 1.5-2 inches on stock suspension but expect less then perfect ride

I would not hesitate to go down all the way on the stock bolts...I cut my bushings and put in longer bolts in the rear. It is low and you have to watch the speed bumps, but I have not scrapped anything but the front air spoiler (black thing under to front end)

I went the exact same way and no problem here. Look at the sig for "altitude" level. As far as the other comment "less than perfect ride" I cannot tell the difference. Go for it!!! SLAM IT!!!!

looks like what i am looking for. so do i tell the shop that is going to perform the lowering for me to cut my bushings and put in longer bolts in the rear? thanks

Slam it. I just drove from CT to Bowling Green, KY and back - 2200 miles and had no problems. And NO, my car does not scrape.

Front airdam is 3/4 inch off the ground - the car is 3inches off the ground.

Delete the front bolts and get longer bolts for the back.

ecs lowered mine while putting in my kooks.took all of 5 minutes.car looks mean as hell with my new c6 wheels,hi-rise aci cowl hood w/stripes,and big mouth air dam.ride is no different (to me)than before,and cornering is a little better.lowered about 1 inch or so.i only scraped the stock air dam once or twice.

how low did ya go? i just talked to a shop that has lowered plenty of vettes that around town, and he suggested for me to lower the rear end to the lowest possible. how would that look? any pix out there? thanks
