Default Problem with washer fluid running UP windshield!

What is the fix for windshield washer fluid drooling UP the windshield on the drivers side during hard acceleration? I saw something about this sometime back and tried a search with no luck. Thanks.

I have never had this happen. Seems to me for this to happen there has to be a crack in the hose between the pump and nozzle. Once air gets into the hose the fluid could seep out.

Strange one Good luck tracking it down.

take some of the fluid out - it only does it if its full. There are some check valves you can splice in too, but leaving it at around 3/4 full works fine...

Known issue and covered under warranty.

I have the same problem and debated over taking my car into the dealership for it. I would rather not let those service department idiots touch my car, so I may just pay for the part and install it myself.

I'll remove some more of the fluid and try that. I topped it up before the Florida run but never used any.... I had heard about the check valve and the dealer thing is completely out of the question.

is the "rain-x bug remover (windshield washer fluid)" any good to use by the way?

Don't fill the tank so full. There is also a check valve that you can buy (I think from Ford) that will stop the fluid from coming out.

Again....GM has its own valve so there is no need to use the Ford part. And it is covered under warranty, for those that are interesed.

There is a check valve to stop the weeping of washer fluid under hard acceleration. Had mine fixed last week as part of other minor warranty work.

Always a bit of a pisser to have a spotless car get water streaks on clean windscreen...

Don't you love how some keep posing the same answer about the valve, when this information was already posted yesterday.
