Spark plug wire shields?
I just installed my new MSD wires. I did not put the factory shields over the wires...should I have done this? They will fit, but not as well as with the original stock wires.

Don't know what a Sprak is, but I believe a lot of the members get rid of the shields once they change plugs, but don't quote me.
I'd like to know too as I'm due for a change.
What plugs are you using?

I just did a search on this and it seems that some folks are complaining about MSD wires melting? Is this a common issue with the MSD's? I guess I will put the heat shields on over the new wires.
I have had the MSD's w/o cool socks or anything for about 15,000 miles and have no sign of any melting. I also have LG Lontubes, so mine is a little warmer than stock... That melting issue may be a myth.. Someone contact mythbusters and get this taken care of!!
I put them back on with my MSD wires, doubt it'd be a problem unless it gets really hot, but it shouldn't be hard to put them on, just pull the plug and slip it on.
