Memory Question..What's Up With This?
Concerning seat, steering wheel, and mirror memory:
Sometimes when I insert the key in the ignition the memory activates. Other times I have to press the memory button on the door to activate things.
Any explanation?
Thanks

Even if it's unlocked. Just unlock it before you enter and the menory will ajust everything when the key is inserted.

Memory function is tied to the fob that unlocks the car - if you don't use the fob, you gotta hit the door button to activate the memory settings.

That sure explains things, however I could have sworn the memory activated today when inserting the key and the car was in the garage. I never lock the car in the garage.
I watch things closer.
Thanks again all.

Sometimes when I stick the key in, it won't remember. This usually happens when I fumble the insertion.

I was first confused but as all the above said use the fob locked or unlocked.

This could be the cause of some error. This may sound stupid guys, but if the driver door is open the memory wont work either.

True. BUT if you hit unlock on the FOB before opening the door then open the door, insert the key in the ignition with the door still open, the memories will activate as soon as the door is closed.
