i am wanting to lower my car, but a local shop here is going to charge me $120 to lower and align. good deal or not?
Not really too bad as long as they are using the latest Hunter equipment to do a 4-wheel alignment. I paid ~$70 to have mine aligned at a Chevy dealer about 3 years ago.
However, the alignment needs to be delayed a week or two to allow you to drive it and let the suspension settle.
Here are a few pics from when I lowered mine to show how easy it is to diy.
Check out my sig pic. Lowered on stock bolts, all the way in the front and 3 threads showing on the rear. Mine dropped 3/4 inch front and almost a full inch in the rear.
