Default select ride..must have?

How do you guys feel about the F45 option it's a 2001 vert I'm looking at and it doesn't have it. Is it a must have? I don't know if I'll ever lower the car I know it comes into play if you plan on doing that mod...thanks

I much prefer a Z51 car. Great blend of stiffness, handling and ride. The car I drove with the F45 didn't seem to ride as well as the Z51 cars, plus the F45 shocks are expensive to repair or replace.

I have a coupe and not a vert, but I agree that the Z51's ride is great. I had a 3000 GT VR-4 that seemed to be way too stiff, but I really love the balance of stiffness and ride comfort that the Z51 has.

I've not driven a Z51 car, but I do have selective ride and I love it. Makes a big difference in the ride quality and performance (handling) if you need that aspect.

I have F45 on my 2001 coupe (bought 2 months ago). In normal driving, I can't tell the difference between the settings. I haven't done a comparative test over the same bumps though, maybe someday.

The F45 suspension is one of those gadgets that's cool when it works. Just wait until it's time to replace the shocks. Hope you have a spare kidney to donate.

I avoided the Ride Selection when I was looking for my C5 for that sole reason.

Plus, I'm a guy, I don't need a cushy ride jk jk

Z51 is great for daily driving; nice and firm but not too punishing.

I would get it and then upgrade suspension to your liking

Truth is after you buy it you may never want to upgrade it depending on how you drive. Car rides and handles great no matter what. It's a vette!

To me it is not a must have. Army2000 hit it right on - expensive to repair should something go wrong.

I personally am looking for a car without it because I plan on lowering mine a little.
