Default Something is wrong - do I need help?

Ok, I have had my vette for over a month now and am a clean freak with it. I have had a supra, 350z, audi s4, and I never really cared if they were "omg that needs to be really really clean"

However with the vette i am a fanatic!

Heres where i ask if i need help.. forecast calls for rain today and tomorrow, yet I washed my vette today.. in the rain!!!!!

Why i did it, I don't know.. it rained a little yesterday and so i felt washing it would be the right thing, even if it is raining now, since i drove it yesterday a cleaning would be needed, and its just going to sit now..

Ok so im sure someone is like hes crazy but here is where i really think i need help...

I washed the car around 5:00pm and I just got back inside from WASHING it again at like 11:15!!! My GF and family think I am nuts and that something is wrong with me.. but I dont know why either. I just keep cleaning it..

and to make matters worst - Im sitting here on autogeek buying and buying and buying.. stuff i think ill never use i am buying. Along with gears that I am getting soon .. I am goin to run out of money at this rate, but hey I guess Ill have a clean, fast car?

And i just love the people on this forum.. i sometimes sit here for hours and think its been 20 minutes!

We have had ours for 3 weeks and have washed it about 6 times. It is natural, to have those kind of feelings for a car like the Corvette. It is a very emotional vehicle. I smile when I drive my Q45 in the driveway, and see the Vette waiting to be taken for a spin.

It sounds like you think something is wrong (other than the garage door being broken) - I don't get it???

I've always wanted to wash a car in a pouring rainstorm. Never have. I thought it would be great to let the rain water rinse off the suds.

There ya' go! I don't think you're crazy at all!

Hell, I KNOW I need help...

Maybe you could use a water-proof car cover while you're keeping it outside?

I've been keeping mine under a cover even in the garage. Gets dusty otherwise (likely from my furnace).

You just described me. I vacuum the friggin' engine!! Couldn't care less what people think. When anyone looks at my vette, it's "WOW" & "Holy Cow" & "Is it new?", etc. How do they think it stays so clean all the time? When I'm cleaning it, I'm in another world.

I haven't washed mine in several years, but I doubt that there are too many people out there who are more **** about there Vette than me. Just ask some of my friends. When you only drive it about 1,500 miles a year, it doesn't get dirty.

Can't say I've washed the car in the rain, but I am a little obsessive when it comes to keeping it clean. Nothing wrong with that.
