I don't think there is a "best" per se, so long as it is stainless from one of the usual names, you'll be fine. Except for the cutting aspect, it is a DIY install.

Thanks for the reply. I thought I had heard others were "better" than others, but that's been a while.
Bill, you may want to consider replacing the entire center section and include some high-flow cats with your mod. No cutting and even a better flow. I've got Random tech center with slip flanges, easy to deal with, high flow and very clean looking.

I have a Bassani X-pipe on mine - does the job I bought it for - quiet the drone and resonance in the car. Had to cut the stock exhaust behind the cats to install, which I left to a local muffler shop. Cost was $30 for them to cut and install.
if you want some real benefit, get the kooks headers w/hi-flow cats and a 3 inch x-pipe.otherwise the rest are pretty much all the same...corsa,borla whatever.i was amazed at the difference in my corsa when it came off and was up next to the 3 incher from kooks.borla makes a pipe,so if you don't go the header route, you may as well keep everything borla.no welding, cutting that i know of or ever had done.

Does the x-pipe replace the h-pipe in the exact same location on the stock system.
Best what? Price, ease of installation, silencing of the burble, most precise welds? What?
I should have clarified. I'm looking to gain the most from the sound, really. I was just wondering if my Borlas would sound even "better" with an X-pipe. By better I mean less burble and even a deeper sound. Thanks all!
