Default GM Recall

I just got an e-mail that my 2001 has been recalled for a column lock problem. If they had recalled and FIXED the rocking seat, gas gauge problem, leaking rear end, oil burning, battery problems and clutch problems I had with the car, maybe I would still own that P.O.S. Glad it's gone. I've been looking at the C6 section and they are having ALOT of problems with them also. Gotta love GM quality

Shhhh... not so loud, Jim. I've still got my '01 with all those problems.

Then you will be happy to know that the recall does not FIX the column lock problem either

Well at least they are all fixable. By DIY. I still love the car though.

Shhh, if the C6 people see this post they will say 'you cannot afford a C6, thus the reason for the post'

I would never comment on C5's in the C6 section. They think the C6 is beyond problems . As far as affording a C6, the dealer I bought my C5 from called last Oct. and offered to let me order a C6 at $500 over invoice. All the people in the C6 section are tickled pink to get one at or slightly above MSRP

Some of the problems you mention should have been resolved long ago by GM - but they just let them continue year after year. No excuse for that happening. I too have heard that the C6 is having problems too. Wish GM would get a handle on these things soon.
