Honked at someone yesterday and the horn got stuck. I beat on the @#$^ wheel till it quit and headed for home. It went off a few more times on the way home and then seemed to be ok. I thought it must have unjammed itself. Well last night at roughly 2 in the morning I wake up hearing it going off in the garage. I ran out in and unhooked the battery. Today I took the center out of the wheel but it looks like I would have to unpack the airbag to reach the horn buttons, so I unhooked the horn and put it back together till I can come up with a solution. Any ideas???? Any help would be appriciated....
Every once in a while someone has had this same problem, and I believe the switch is part of the airbag assembly - I think a visit to the dreaded dealer is in your future...
I think there's a fuse (try the engine compartment fuse panel first) that you can pull - can't remember what else you may lose, but a peaceful night is worth it...

And you may want to check in with the members over in the Tech section to see if they've come across the issue. Good luck.
I had the exact sam thing happen to me. Last year I honked at a hottie, and guess what..... So I pulled off, looked up the fuse in the owners manual and pulled it. I went in for the CLB a month or so ago and the Dealer we have here is outstanding, the 25+ yr. corvette mechanic said that there is no way to fix it without blowing the bag....sorry But I think your SOL as I am too. But If someone has better insight ????? I also asked around at CI VI and many said the same thing. Good luck
I hate to have something on my car that doesn't work, but before I buy a new airbag for a few hundred I'll go hornless. I've been wanting to trade for a Z06 anyway.......
I had the exact same thing happen to me on my '04. Horn got stuck one day and then started randomly going off on it's own. Like yours, it seemed to like 2-3 AM. Woke me up 2 nights in a row. I ended up pulling the fuse as others have said here. I put the fuse back in a couple of days later and haven't had the problem again. That was probably about 2 months ago.
The same thing happened to me last weekend. Saturday morning 8 am I heard the horn of my 01 blowing outside my window. I ran out and unhooked the battery. I had to pull the fuse to hook the battery back up. I tried to put the fuse back in a few times that day...still blowing the horn. The next day I was able to put the fuse back in and it has been fine since.
Same problem, fuse number is 7 if you need a quick fix. Fred Beans-dealership gave me the best quote on a air bag @510.00. Air bag has the horn switches and are not independent. Sometimes you can get a quick fix by playing with the air bag cover. I had to rub the cover around the airbag logo but the horn always return and I pulled the fuse.
If you figure out something different let me know before I bite the bullet for a airbag. Fred Beans beat someone on the new part quote
